1. BACKGROUND
Mooto Holdings Limited, through its business unit Mooto Foods, is relaunching its meat processing facility. The facility will focus on processing and supplying quality meat products to retailers, restaurants, butcheries, supermarkets, institutions, food vendors, hotels, lodges, and other bulk buyers. Suitable candidates were shortlisted to undertake short-term market survey assignments in selected districts within Lusaka Province, Copperbelt Province, Central Province, Eastern Province, and North-Western Province. The purpose of this engagement is to collect accurate market information, identify potential customers, capture meat product price data, assess demand, and support Mooto Foods’ market entry and customer targeting strategy.
2. NATURE OF ENGAGEMENT
This engagement is a short-term assignment-based contract. The Assignee is engaged strictly for completion of a defined market survey assignment and is not employed on a full-time, permanent, pensionable, or continuous basis by Mooto Holdings Limited or Mooto Foods. Nothing in this Contract shall be interpreted as creating an employer-employee relationship, permanent employment relationship, partnership, agency, or joint venture. The Assignee shall not be entitled to employment benefits including monthly salary, leave pay, gratuity, pension, medical cover, housing allowance, transport allowance, severance pay, or any other full-time employee benefits.
3. POSITION AND ASSIGNMENT TITLE
The Assignee is engaged as a Short-Term Market Survey Assistant under the Mooto Foods business unit of Mooto Holdings Limited.
4. DURATION OF ASSIGNMENT
The assignment shall run for a period of one month only and is expected to commence between 1st June 2026 and 30th June 2026 or on such other date as may be communicated in writing by Mooto Holdings. This Contract shall automatically expire at the end of the assignment period unless extended in writing by Mooto Holdings.
5. DUTY STATION
The Assignee shall undertake the assignment in the district and province assigned by Mooto Holdings. The duty station may be any district within Lusaka Province, Copperbelt Province, Central Province, Eastern Province, and North-Western Province.
6. PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT
The purpose of this assignment is to support Mooto Foods in gathering accurate and verifiable market information for meat products and identifying prospective customers in the assigned target market. The information collected will be used for pricing, distribution planning, customer targeting, market entry, competitor analysis, and sales strategy development.
7. SCOPE OF WORK
The Assignee shall visit butcheries, supermarkets, shops, restaurants, markets, food vendors, institutions, hotels, lodges, schools, hospitals, and other relevant outlets; collect meat product price information including chicken, beef, pork, sausages, mince, offals, fillets, and other processed meat products; identify and register prospective customers; collect accurate business and customer information; capture competitor products, pricing, packaging, and distribution channels; submit daily survey updates and final reports; ensure all information is accurate and verifiable; and represent Mooto Foods professionally.
8. KEY DELIVERABLE
The main deliverable is the identification and registration of fifty potential customers in the assigned target market. Records must be entered into the designated Mooto Holdings system and shall count only after review, validation, and approval by Mooto Holdings as complete, accurate, relevant, and verifiable.
9. VALIDATION AND APPROVAL OF CUSTOMER DATA
Mooto Holdings has the sole right to review, validate, approve, reject, or request correction of any submitted customer information. Validation may include phone calls, physical verification, location checks, photographs, GPS/location data, or any other method deemed necessary. Payment is processed only after required records have been validated and approved.
10. PAYMENT
The Assignee shall be paid a fixed assignment fee of ZMW 1,000 only for successful completion of the assignment. This amount is assignment-based and not a salary. Payment is due only after completion, submission of fifty records, validation, and approval. No payment shall be made for incomplete, rejected, unverifiable, duplicated, or fraudulent records.
11. NO ADVANCE PAYMENT
The Assignee acknowledges that Mooto Holdings shall not be required to make any advance payment before or during the assignment. Full assignment payment is due only after successful validation and approval of deliverables.
12. TOOLS AND RESOURCES
The Assignee is expected to have access to a smartphone with internet capability for data collection, photography, location tagging, communication, and reporting. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the Assignee is responsible for their own transport, airtime, internet bundles, meals, and incidental costs.
13. REPORTING REQUIREMENTS
The Assignee shall report to Mundia Situmbeko, Email: mundia@mootoholdings.com. The Assignee shall submit daily updates and a final assignment report together with all customer records entered into the designated system. Failure to submit required reports may result in non-approval of deliverables.
14. CONDUCT AND PROFESSIONALISM
The Assignee agrees to conduct themselves professionally, represent themselves clearly as a short-term Market Survey Assistant, avoid false promises, avoid collecting money or benefits from prospective customers, avoid unauthorised commitments, protect the image and reputation of Mooto Holdings and Mooto Foods, and report challenges, complaints, risks, or incidents.
15. CONFIDENTIALITY
The Assignee shall treat all information received from Mooto Holdings, Mooto Foods, prospective customers, and market participants as confidential. Confidential information includes customer details, pricing information, strategies, supplier information, market data, system access details, internal tools, and assignment guidelines. This obligation continues after the assignment ends.
16. OWNERSHIP OF DATA AND INFORMATION
All data, customer records, reports, photographs, market information, survey responses, and related materials collected during the assignment belong exclusively to Mooto Holdings Limited. The Assignee shall not retain, copy, sell, transfer, or use collected information for personal benefit or for any third party.
17. DATA ACCURACY AND INTEGRITY
The Assignee warrants that all information submitted shall be true, accurate, complete, and collected through genuine field engagement. Fabricated, misleading, duplicated, or false information constitutes a serious breach and may result in immediate termination and withholding of payment.
18. HEALTH, SAFETY, AND FIELD RESPONSIBILITY
The Assignee shall take reasonable care of their own health, safety, and security while undertaking the assignment, avoid unsafe locations and unlawful activities, and immediately notify Mooto Holdings of safety concerns or incidents.
19. TERMINATION
Mooto Holdings may terminate this Contract immediately for unsatisfactory performance, false or misleading information, misrepresentation, confidentiality breach, misconduct, fraud, dishonesty, failure to comply with instructions or reporting requirements, or conduct that may damage the reputation of Mooto Holdings or Mooto Foods.
20. LIMITATION OF AUTHORITY
The Assignee has no authority to sign contracts, make commitments, negotiate supply terms, receive payments, issue receipts, or legally bind Mooto Holdings or Mooto Foods. Any unauthorised commitment is the Assignee’s personal responsibility.
21. DECLARATION BY THE ASSIGNEE
The Assignee confirms that they understand this is a short-term assignment-based engagement only; they are not a full-time or permanent employee; payment is only after successful completion, validation, and approval; they shall submit fifty authentic potential customer records; they shall use the designated system; maintain confidentiality and professional conduct; and comply with all instructions.
22. GOVERNING LAW
This Contract shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Zambia.
23. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
This Contract constitutes the entire agreement between the Parties regarding the short-term market survey assignment and supersedes previous verbal or written communication. Amendments are valid only if made in writing and signed by both Parties.
